  • Deciding to grow your family is one of the most important decisions we make. Having someone to talk to while you make this decision, especially if it’s one you’re making on your own, can help.

Meeting with a therapist will give you a safe, non-judgmental relationship, allowing you to process your thoughts and feelings while also empowering you to feel confident in determining if, how, and when you’ll grow your family.

  • The time we spend trying to conceive often becomes a season of life , demanding so much of us as it requires patience, surrender and the ability to proceed without certainty.

Whatever your journey has been so far, you are not alone.

1 in 4 women will experience miscarriage. 1 in 6 people experience primary infertility and 1 in 20 struggle with secondary infertility. Families may choose some form of assisted reproductive technology or consider adoption. Others may choose to pause or end their reproductive journey.

These are real losses that deserve to be validated and honored.

Therapy will help you make sense of the complicated feelings that arise during this time, teach you healthy coping skills, support you in feeling a sense of control, while also offering a compassionate ear.

  • Every person experiences pregnancy differently, and while it’s an exciting time, it’s also one that can leave us feeling unlike ourselves.

This isn’t an uncommon experience, with 1 in 7 women experiencing depression or anxiety during the prenatal period.

The experience of pregnancy can also remind us of our past and how we were parented, often triggering complicated thoughts and feelings.

Pregnancy is a great time to enter therapy to explore complicated feelings and learn healthy coping skills. Starting therapy during this time is also an opportunity to have support established before having the baby.

  • Having a baby and becoming a mother can often feel like navigating a foreign land without a map. It’s more than an adjustment - it’s a major life transition!

It’s common to experience heightened emotions following the birth of your child but sometimes there’s more going on. 1 in 5 women experience Postpartum Depression and Anxiety, making it the most common complication of childbirth in the United States.

You are not alone, you are not to blame and with help, you will get better.

Therapy during this time will help you learn ways to manage your symptoms, make you feel supported during this incredibly challenging time, and empower you in your new role as mom.
